My Musings - FOCUS Magazine October 2023

September was a BIG month for me!

It all started with a week on the Gold Coast attending SHE-com, a fabulous multi-day event focussed on connecting with and learning from amazing female entrepreneurs, who kick most of their business goals in the e-commerce industry...

Think Lana from Three Birds Renovations, Alisa from al.ive body, Anna Baird founder of Bared Footwear, Julie + Sali the twin sisters behind Stylerunner and many many more.

But then there was the rekindling of connections I made with all the ladies I attended the Bali Retreat with back in March too; it was so nice to see these ladies again, hear how their businesses were doing, and inspire each other to new heights until we all meet again.

Home for a night or two and then we were off for a night or three to Melbourne (on Bonza of course), the shopping capital of Australia... unfortunately things didn't go quite to plan for me with the shopping this trip, but let's just say it's the best value I've ever had from a Hotel room...

Home again, I picked up "Princess" Tilly (our beloved Ragdoll) and considered unpacking my luggage, but realised it was only a matter of another night or two at home before I headed to Sydney for 5 nights... but this time, it was for a Mother/Daughter Road Trip.

I realised a month or two back that while we've been on lots of family trips, both local and overseas, that both Mum and Dad visit me here often, and I'm always planning my next trip back to Hobart, my Mum and I had never actually had a proper Girls Trip on our own.

That all changed with my third and final trip for the month, when Mum flew to Sydney from Hobart and we road tripped to the Blue Mountains and Orange together. We enjoyed 4 fabulous nights away, with a little indulgence thrown in here and there for good measure. Spring in the Blue Mountains was just divine, with Rhododendrons and Azaleas at almost every turn... Turns out it was just what we both needed.

Are you tired yet?

Well, I can assure you, after actually doing all these things, I was tired. So, tired and a little physically wrecked I finally get to the reason you didn't see me in last month's focus.

I simply had nothing left in the tank!

Guess what I'm off to do now... yep, write my Monthly Musing for November!

PS: If you like the idea of living vicariously through my travels, I will sometimes take you along for the ride on my Insta Stories, you can watch them here.
